Goodbye Seattle! I Moved To A Whole New Country
It’s been exactly one year and seven months since I moved and ALL the way to Medellin, Colombia. After 28 years of living in Seattle, I finally made the leap to Colombia to live with my husband. The last few days visiting must-see places with him and my mother-in-law throughout Washington state was bittersweet. They travelled to help me move my parent’s belongings cross-country because at the same time they were moving their whole lives to Tampa, Florida.
If you ever visit the PNW (Pacific Northwest), they are so many beautiful places to visit outside of Seattle. For instance, we have the lovely Mount Rainier which is visible from Elliott Bay, if you ever visit downtown Seattle.
Did you know there is a German town outside of Seattle, about a two hour drive away? Leavenworth is famous for its Bavarian-theme, Christmas tree lighting, Oktoberfest and because it’s on the way to the Spring Break spot for all the college kids in WA, Lake Chelan and near Stevens Pass where you go to hit the slopes during the winter season.
Leavenworth for those in WA is a staple road trip spot every year. You didn’t go to Leavenworth if your lunch did not consist of a German sausage, beer and pretzel.
Here’s my video capturing moments I will forever remember. Washington, you are my home, still. I miss you. I love you and forever will.
