First things first! NEVER throw away your empty MAC containers. 

If you’re like me, I find so much satisfaction getting rid of things I no longer need. Nothing like a clear/tidy vanity without useless products right? Wrong. (this is a special circumstance) ;)

“Because [MAC] shares your commitment to the environment,” they offer a recycle program called “Back to MAC”. MAC wants you to return six primary packaging containers to their store counter or online and thank you with an absolutely free MAC lipstick of your choice (except the VIVA GLAM Lipsticks and Lipglass). 

So far I have claimed two lipsticks throughout the years, because hey, six is a lot to go through. I, personally, have taken them to the MAC counter inside Nordstrom and it really works.

So don't forget to recycle!
